Romance? It's about time

Funny how folks think if you're a romance author, you know about, well, romance. Silly people, LOL! I can't say my life is a typical romance, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Check out my interview in the Denver Post. My interviewer said right up front, she wanted a fun article to offer guys who might be clueless over how to romance their gals.

What do you think? How did I do?

  1. Hi Audra:

    Typical reporter.

She took up about 80% of the ‘column inches‘ with her own words!

BTW: is the author related to Lyn Cote? Lyn is a favorite of mine.

You did a great job with your four answers. : )

I think the most romantic thing a man can do is remember my rule: “The big things you have to do. It’s the little things that determine your sincerity.”

Men should do the little things that show they care. Little things that they would only remember to do if they were really in love.

Example: if the woman mentions one time in passing that she loves a given author, remember this. Then order that author’s new book from England a year before it comes out in America and make that a surprise gift! This is the kind of stuff I do and it got me the perfect wife!

P.S. I can't play that article on my home computer because it will not load the Flash Playeer. But I can I get to work, given the snow, I'll use your link to read the quote. Thanks.

  3. Vince, besides being a man of deep philosophical thoughts, you also show off your romantic side so well! So often the little details of life go over looked for the "big picture."

People often tell me I have a rather Pollyanna view of life. Well? Hello, it's my life, right?
You only get one go 'round, make the most of it.

Just as you've mentioned listening to the little things that matter to your wife and surprising her, I look for the little things in my husband's life and try to surprise him too.

And you know what? I've been blessed with an awesome husband and kids. I realize this. I try to wish this upon as many couples as possible, LOL!

So Vince? Keep track of those authors for your wife and I'll keep an eye on goose loads for my husband.

    Such little things, right?

    Happy Valentines Day!

  4. Donnell! What a stunning picture! Beautiful shot...although I was rather fond of the pic of you and your dog, LOL!

They cut the article down to space requirements in the paper. Originally, Maria had asked me a questions about "bodice rippers." LOL! I had great fun with that one! Too bad they cut it.

    Happy Valentines Day!!
